I’m 40 weeks 5 days pregnant. This is my first and this pregnancy is slightly complicated because my daughter only has a two vessel cord. One giving her blood, oxygen and nutrients and one taking the waste from the placenta. Normal babies have 3 vessels; 2 that give them blood, oxygen and nutrients and one that takes waste from the placenta. This means my baby only gets half the blood, oxygen and nutrients normal babies get and after 40 weeks it increases the risk of stillbirth. Due to this a doctor at L&D told me they will not let me go over 41 weeks. Well, I had an appointment scheduled on Christmas Eve that I had missed because I was extremely sick and then when I rescheduled it the same day they waited all the way until January 3rd to bring me back in. These appointments at my OB/GYN are where they will be scheduling my induction. Well, now I will be literally 42 weeks 3 days when they induce me because of this appointment due to the fact you have to wait a week after your last appointment to be induced. This is because the person working at the clinic doesn’t listen to nobody and is hard headed and wouldn’t even bother to look at my record even after I explained what the doctor had told me at L&D. At the OB/GYN clinic they have multiple OB’s see you and you have one assigned doctor that works at the actual hospital. They have walk-in’s daily but I’m apparently not allowed to come in until I’m 41 weeks 3 days even being a patient there for so long and the lady working at the desk won’t listen to me or even check my record and she’s making things a LOT more complicated than thy should be. Should I call my actual doctor and see what he says since the woman won’t listen to nobody and is being hard headed and refuses to look at my record?
